Implementing Silverlight applications on the Linux platform

The team responsible for the Mono project at Novell has created a version of Silverlight called Moonlight for the Linux platform. The Moonlight project provides a plug-in for Linux browsers and an SDK to develop Silverlight applications on the Linux platform.

The Moonlight plug-in can be downloaded from www.go-mon.com/moonlight.
You can also access the Moonlight IDE called lunareclipse for designing the XAML elements of the Silverlight application.

The lunareclipse module is available from the Mono SVN site at http://anonsvn.mono-project.com/source/trunk/lunareclipse.
The Moonlight project is still changing.

For information about the Moonlight SDK and how to set up the development environment on Linux, go to the Moonlight project page at www. mono-project.com/Moonlight and the development notes at http://www.mono-project.com/
